Remonde went to Mendiola Bridge to reach out to the journalists who were camped out there to protest the culture of impunity that they blamed for last weeks massacre. "The government will do everything to give justice for all," Remonde, clad in a black shirt and wearing a black armband, told members of media groups that gathered at Mendiola Bridge. Media groups, however, booed Remonde and chanted Remonde resign!" as they vowed to continue their fight for justice. Some even reportedly threw items at Remonde. Various cause-oriented groups also took part in the protest action. The protesters carried an effigy of a black coffin symbolizing the victims of last weeks Maguindanao massacre. The name Galicia comes from the Latin name Gallaecia, associated with the name of the ancient Celtic tribe that resided above the Douro river, the Gallaeci or Callaeci in Latin, and Kallaikoi in Greek (these tribes were mentioned by Herodotus). Traditional instruments in Galicia include the well-known gaita, a kind of bagpipe, as well as an array of percussion and wind instruments. Tunes using the gaita are usually songs, with the voice either accompanying the instrumentation or taking turns with it. The most common song is the muiñeira, found in both Asturias and Galicia, a sprightly 6/8 rhythm.
