It was my privilege to see the Pee Wee Herman Show, Live at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on January 25th, 2010. In this video, Paul Reubens drops his Pee Wee persona after the show and steps out to talk with fans. He shows what a class act he really is - a hard working performer who genuinely cares about making his audience happy. I grew up with Pee Wees Playhouse and Pee Wees Big Adventure and never could have imagined seeing Pee Wee Herman in person, so many years later. I felt like a kid again in his presence. This is a comeback story - a tale of an icon who fell from the limelight, but never forgot his passion for performing and making people smile. Thank you Pee Wee for entertaining us so well, for challenging us to be creative and for embracing kindness, generosity and nostalgia - and sharing it all with us.
