Entry from: Cala Llombards, Spain Entry Title: "A Spontaneous Outing" Entry: "Weve been back from Ibiza for almost a week now and its still hard to get accustomed to the reality of routine. Ever since we got back, I havent feeling well. Thats an understatement....I have been feeling miserable. I could hardly get out of bed without feeling nauseous or dizzy, so I stayed in bed all day, only getting out for bathroom breaks. Ed was a darling and took care of me as best he could, and although he felt healthy, he confined himself indoors just to be with me and care for me. Just yesterday (5 days later) the sickness began to subdue and I was able to get out of bed without feeling I would pass out. We decided it was high time to get some fresh air. Our friend Erea continently stopped by, as we were to leave for the beach, to ask if we wanted to drive with her to Cala Llombards, a beach not too far from here. We had been going to the same beaches for over 3 months so we had no reason to decline the fortunate offer. Twenty minutes later, we arrived at a small little beach town, where the summer houses were a bit more extravagant than the ones Id seen around these coasts. Cala Figuera encompasses a small traditional fishing community of 577 permanent residences which rises during the tourist season. Pretty village houses populate the steep slopes leading down to the waters edge. Those houses with direct access to the habour have large green doors facing the water. They resemble garage doors and give access to the boathouses for storage of fishing equipment and boats. Mini slipways lead from the water to the interior of the garage.
